As with all excellent chef’s, Amy prefers using fresh ingredients to create her menu as well as her signature dishes.
Born and raised in Barrington, Nova Scotia, the twin daughter of Rene and Georgina Scott, Amy knew that university was definitely not for her when it came to choosing a career after completing high school. From her love of being outside logrolling, canoeing and swimming, to cooking and watching her idols Julia Child and Jacques Pepin on TV, culinary school was the natural choice.
In 2006 she graduated from the Culinary Arts Program at the Culinary Institute of Canada, Holland College, Prince Edward Island. She began her culinary career in 2005 doing her internship at Grand Pre Winery restaurant, Le Caveau, in Grand Pre, Nova Scotia where she worked for 4 years and was promoted to Junior Sous Chef.
In 2009 she became the Co-Chef at Neddies Harbour Inn, Gros Mourne Newfoundland.
As with all excellent Chefs, Amy prefers using fresh ingredients to create her signature dishes influenced by classical French cuisine.
It gives us great pleasure to introduce Amy Scott as our new Chef and restaurant manage. A variety of new dishes and desserts have been added to our menu and we certainly hope that they will please your palate.
